I came to Massachusetts for Detox and to NEATC for their recovery program. This is my first time and it was definitely a different environment but the staff here has been great. The facilitators are very nice and knowledgeable. They give you the tools needed to defeat your addiction. My therapist was able to help get me through some things I haven’t been able to in the past. I’m very grateful to have the opportunity to get better here.

Northeast Addiction treatment center has been nothing short of an absolute amazing experience. I am so grateful for this program and all they have done for me and my life. From day one I was welcomed with open arms and guided to success. Staff is absolutely wonderful from the technicians to management. The group sessions were incredible and were the right balance between education on the disease of addiction, solution based 12 step, and having a good time with peers and building relationships. The clinical team cares deeply about their clients and sets people up for a successful future. In particular Keith, Jessica, Sarah and Pat have had a tremendous impact on my sobriety and life and I can’t be more thankful. In my opinion this place has been the miracle I needed and would recommend it to anyone looking for help. I have been thru all stages of the program and still stay constantly involved. I entered beaten down and broken and today, work full time have the support of my family back, sponsor multiple people, and most importantly love the person I am today. Huge thanks to Northeast and all they do.

When I arrived in Quincy broken, spiritless, with a mustard seed of hope after having 25 years clean and relapsing, Northeast slowly brought me back to life again and restored my love for recovery. If I mentioned everyone by name, it would take me hours, however what I will say is that from the Director's, Therapist, Physician, Case Managers and support staff, each and everyone one of them played some part in my resurrection and I am eternally grateful. I was loved, supported, taught, immersed in 12 step meetings, counseled and given the opportunity to give back when I was ready and I have brought all that back to New Jersey. If you are seeking help Northeast Addictions Treatment Center saved my life and will save yours as well.

What should you expect?

What will happen to my job while I’m in treatment?

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) has given protected rights for people suffering from substance abuse. By filing for FMLA, you can help protect your job while you are in treatment. Our treatment specialists will go over different options with you and help you file the necessary paperwork you need to help protect your job.

How can I verify if my health insurance covers addiction treatment?

If this is your first time looking into treatment options, understanding your benefits can be challenging. But not to worry, that’s what we’re here for! You can verify your insurance coverage with us, and a treatment specialist will let you know exactly what your insurance will cover. Even if we can’t take your insurance, we will provide options for you and point you in the right direction.

Can I force a loved one to go to rehab?

If you live in the state of Massachusetts, there is a law that passed, known as Section 35. Under this law, it “”allows a qualified person to request a court order requiring someone to be civilly committed and treated involuntarily for an alcohol or substance use disorder””. Read more about Section 35 and speak with one of our treatment specialists today to help assist you through this process.

How do I talk to a loved one about addiction treatment?

Talking to a loved one about addiction treatment can be tough. It’s important to go about it in a healthy way, without them feeling judged or pressured. Here are some tips on talking to a loved one about addiction treatment.

How can I stage an intervention for a loved one?

Give us a call! We can talk you through the steps needed to hold an intervention and can even send a certified interventionist to help assist you during this process. There is some planning that goes into place in order to conduct a successful intervention. You can read more about this process here.

How can I communicate with my loved ones while in treatment?

Keep in mind that when you’re in treatment you want to take the time to focus on yourself and your recovery. However, we understand that people have responsibilities outside of treatment. So phone calls to loved ones are allowed, but will usually be scheduled during non-group hours with your clinician or staff member. To find out more, call and talk to our treatment specialists today.

Can I afford addiction treatment?

Often times, your health insurance plan can cover a majority of the cost of your treatment. Not sure where to start? We can help verify your insurance plan and point you in the right direction, even if it’s not with us. Verify your insurance here.

What does substance abuse treatment look like?

Substance abuse treatment often comes in multiple stages. The stages are dependent on what substance(s) an individual is using and how often. Typically, treatment consists of detox, inpatient/residential treatment and/or intensive outpatient treatment. This process usually takes on average 90 days. An individualized plan will be made for each patient by their clinician and therapist.
