BiographyDesiree Rivera attained her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology at Newbury College in 2011 and completed her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family therapy at Eastern Nazerene College in 2016. Desiree began working in the field human services over 10 years ago, initially mentoring at risk inner city youth and later working as In-Home Family Therapist. Desiree has been providing substance services for 9 years, working as an outpatient clinician and inpatient clinical supervisor. In her work with individuals and families, Desiree utilizes an array of therapeutic techniques; cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, and strength-based therapy. Desiree believes that providing individuals and families with a safe space to explore and discover their inner strengths, can promote an increase in self-esteem, motivation, communication and healing.
